Department Manager

About the role

The role involves leading shifts and departments in a McDonald's restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. As a Department Manager, responsibilities include ensuring a great customer experience, managing sales promotions, training staff, organizing service areas, and managing hiring, training, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts to ensure fast, accurate, and friendly service every visit.
• Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to teams and other managers.
• Ensure the Guest Service Department delivers a great customer experience.
• Ensure the Kitchen Department delivers high-quality food and controls food costs.
• Ensure the People Department hires, trains, and schedules staff effectively.

Requirements

• Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive team player with flexible schedules and a passion for the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to apply.
