About the role
The Gillis Organization is a franchisee of McDonald's restaurants in Bergen, Monmouth, Middlesex, and Ocean County in New Jersey. Our mission is to provide exceptional service and high-quality products, fostering a welcoming and valued environment for both patrons and employees.
Responsibilities
- Lead weekly shifts to ensure customers receive a quick, accurate, and friendly experience.
- Manage assigned departments such as Guest Service, Kitchen, and People Department.
- Ensure all service staff is trained in service procedures and that the Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas are organized for optimal service.
- Manage systems like Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management, setting goals, delegating tasks, and reporting results.
- Hire and train qualified crews, ensuring they meet sales and profit goals.
- Support the team's success by helping them get off to a good start and motivating them throughout their tenure.
Requirements
- Managerial experience within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Positive team player with flexible scheduling and a passion for the fast-paced McDonald's environment.
Qualifications
An associate degree is highly recommended. McDonald's Department Manager Capstone or higher is required.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $18.50 to $23.00 per hour, starting salary depending on experience and location. Monthly bonus opportunities are based on the performance matrix. The Accelerate Your Pay (AYP) program rewards employees who contribute to the business's growth.
