Department Manager

About the role

The Gillis Organization owns and operates McDonald's Restaurant Franchises in Bergen, Monmouth, Middlesex and Ocean County in New Jersey. Our focus is to enhance the customer experience by providing excellent service with high-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly shifts, ensuring customers receive a quick, accurate, friendly experience every visit.
• Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to your team and other managers.
• For the Guest Service Department Manager: Ensure Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience, manage sales promotions, train service staff, and organize Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas.
• For the Kitchen Department Manager: Ensure the restaurant delivers great quality food to customers fast, ensure food safety, control food costs, and train kitchen staff in production procedures.
• For the People Department Manager: Ensure the restaurant hires qualified staff, trains them well, and schedules them to meet sales and profit goals, and support the team's success.

Requirements

• Managerial experience is preferred within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive team player with flexible schedules and passion for the fast-paced McDonald's environment.

Qualifications

An associate degree is highly recommended. McDonald's Department Manager Capstone or Higher is required.

Skills

Strong leadership skills, ability to manage multiple systems, and effective communication are essential.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $18.50 to $23.00 an hour, starting salary depending on experience and location.
