Department Manager

About the role

The job involves leading shifts and departments in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The successful candidate will manage various aspects of restaurant operations including guest service, kitchen operations, and personnel management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a fast, accurate, and friendly customer experience
• Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management
• Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results
• Train and motivate staff to meet sales and profit goals
• Organize the Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas for optimal service
• Deliver high-quality food and maintain food safety standards
• Control food costs and train kitchen staff in production procedures
• Hire, train, and schedule qualified staff to meet restaurant needs
• Support new employees and recognize their efforts throughout their tenure

Requirements

• Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible schedule and willingness to adapt to the demands of the job
• Age 18 or older to qualify as a manager in corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurants
