Department Manager
About the role
Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They may also manage departments such as Guest Service, Kitchen, or People, overseeing various aspects of restaurant operations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the delivery of a great customer experience in the Guest Service Department.
- Manage sales promotions effectively.
- Train and supervise service staff in service procedures.
- Organize the Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas for optimal service.
- Ensure the restaurant provides high-quality food and maintains food safety standards.
- Control food costs and train kitchen staff in production procedures.
- Hire, train, and schedule employees to meet sales and profit goals.
- Support new employees and motivate them throughout their tenure.
Requirements
- Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
- Aged 18 or older to work as a manager in corporate-owned restaurants.
Qualifications
Positive team player with flexible scheduling and a passion for the fast-paced McDonald’s environment. No specific educational qualifications are required, but previous management experience is preferred.
Skills
Effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential. Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities is crucial.
