Department Manager

Requirements

Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers have a fast, accurate, and friendly experience on every visit. Some managers also lead Departments. These managers’ responsibilities may include managing assigned Systems, such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management; setting goals; delegating tasks to their teams; following up; and reporting results to their teams and other managers.

Responsibilities

• Guest Service Department Manager: Ensure Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience, execute sales promotions effectively, train service staff in procedures, and organize Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas for optimal service.

• Kitchen Department Manager: Ensure quick, high-quality food delivery, maintain food safety, control food costs, and train kitchen staff in production procedures, including new menu items.

• People Department Manager: Hire qualified Crew, train them effectively, schedule them to meet sales and profit goals, ensure they get a good start at the restaurant, and motivate them throughout their time working there.

Qualifications

Previous managerial experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment. Positive team players with flexible schedules who enjoy working in the fast-paced McDonald's environment are sought. Applicants must be 18 years or older to be considered for management positions in franchise-owned restaurants.

Skills

Effective communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential. Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a dynamic work environment is required.
