Job Description
The Guest Service Manager is a self-motivated and actively engaged with the restaurant’s employees and demonstrates care, respect, leadership and passion for restaurant’s guests, crew and managers. This candidate provides oversight of the overall customer experience, looking for ways to create feel good moments. The role of the GSM includes responding to customer feedback through all feedback channels, looking for opportunities to improve customer experiences, addressing opportunities for improving service times, digital and delivery experiences, educating customers on promotions and limited time offers, planning and accommodating birthday parties and special events, and building community relations through community events.
- Working in collaboration with restaurant leadership team and crew members, GELs, Crew Trainers, and Shift Managers to improve the guest experience.
- Supporting training initiatives for customer service, drive thru, digital, delivery and front counter speed, service quality, order accuracy and cleanliness.
- Improving customer service metrics, building guest counts, digital transactions, sales, and indirectly responsible for profitability, and reducing controllable expenses.
- Working on the floor as a manager with an intense focus on improving the guest experience.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends to provide leadership and training support.
Prerequisites
- Mcdonald’s Certified Shift Manager (McDonald’s Leadership Transitions course completion)
- ServSafe Food Safety Handler certification
- 18 years of age or older
- Mcdonald’s DLIM certification preferred
- Previous Department Management a plus
- 1+ years McDonald’s shift management experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting wage for a DLIM certified and experienced McDonald’s Department Manager begins at $17.00/hr. plus bonus and benefits described below:

- Mcdonald’s OTP Level CODE certification required within 6 months of hire.

Schedule
The Guest Services Manager functions in a floor leadership role and attends frequently scheduled trainings and meetings. The GSM completes their department responsibilities concurrently while maintaining floor management coverage with some hours dedicated to administrative time, including training and meetings. This is a regular part-time hourly position averaging up to 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime as required. The GSM is required to be available to work nights and weekends.
