Department Manager

About the role

The job involves leading shifts and departments in a McDonald's restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee is a separate entity from McDonald’s USA and is solely responsible for employment matters.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience every visit.
• Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to teams and other managers.
• Lead the Guest Service Department, ensuring the Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas are organized for the best service.
• Lead the Kitchen Department, ensuring the restaurant delivers great quality food and fast service, while controlling food costs and training kitchen staff.
• Lead the People Department, hiring qualified crew, training them well, and scheduling them to meet sales and profit goals.
• Ensure Crew get off to a good start and are recognized and motivated throughout their time working there.

Requirements

• Previous managerial experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• A positive attitude and passion for working in the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to be considered for management positions.
