Department Manager

About the role

The role involves leading shifts and departments in a McDonald's restaurant operated by an independent franchisee. This includes managing customer service, food preparation, and staff training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience.
• Manage assigned systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to teams and other managers.
• Lead the Guest Service Department, ensuring high-quality customer service and effective sales promotions.
• Lead the Kitchen Department, ensuring food quality, safety, and cost control.
• Lead the People Department, managing hiring, training, and scheduling to meet sales and profit goals.

Requirements

• Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive team player with flexible schedules and a passion for the fast-paced McDonald's environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to qualify as a manager in corporate-owned McDonald's restaurants.
