Department Manager

About the role

The role involves leading shifts and departments in a McDonald's restaurant operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is a separate entity responsible for employment matters.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience every visit.
• Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to teams and other managers.
• Lead the Guest Service Department, ensuring great customer experiences, sales promotions, staff training, and area organization.
• Lead the Kitchen Department, ensuring high-quality food delivery, food safety, cost control, and staff training.
• Lead the People Department, hiring, training, scheduling, and motivating staff to meet sales and profit goals.

Requirements

• Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive team player with flexible schedules and a passion for the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to qualify for the role.
