Department Manager
The Gillis Organization owns and operates McDonald's Restaurant Franchises in Bergen, Monmouth, Middlesex, and Ocean County in New Jersey. About the role
Fast Track Management Program is available based on experience. Managers lead weekly shifts, ensuring customers get a quick, accurate, friendly experience every visit. Some managers also lead Departments, with responsibilities that may include managing assigned Systems (e.g., Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management), setting goals, delegating tasks, following up, and reporting results to their team and other managers.
- Guest Service Department Manager: Ensures Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience, sales promotions are executed well, all service staff is trained in service procedures, and the Front Counter, McCafé, and Drive-Thru areas are organized for optimal service.
- Kitchen Department Manager: Ensures the restaurant delivers great quality food quickly, food safety is maintained, food cost is controlled, and all kitchen staff is trained in production procedures, including new menu items.
- People Department Manager: Ensures the restaurant hires a qualified crew, trains them well, and schedules them to meet sales and profit goals. This role also focuses on onboarding, recognition, and motivation of staff.
Requirements
- McDonald's Department Manager Capstone or higher is required.
- An associate degree is highly recommended.
- Managerial experience preferred within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
- Positive team players with flexible schedules who thrive in a fast-paced McDonald's environment.
Pay
Starting salary ranges from $18.50 to $23.00 an hour, depending on experience and location volume. Monthly bonus opportunities are based on performance metrics.
