About the role
The job involves leading shifts and departments in a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. As a Department Manager, responsibilities include ensuring a great customer experience, managing sales promotions, training staff, organizing service areas, and managing hiring, training, and scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a fast, accurate, and friendly customer experience
- Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management
- Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results
- Train and motivate staff to meet sales and profit goals
- Hire, train, and schedule qualified crew members
- Manage kitchen operations to ensure quality food and fast service
- Oversee food safety and cost control
- Support the Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas
Requirements
- Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule and willingness to have fun
- Age 18 or older
