Department Manager

About the role

The role involves leading shifts and departments in a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee is a separate entity from McDonald’s USA and is solely responsible for employment matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts to ensure fast, accurate, and friendly customer experiences.
• Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to teams and other managers.
• Ensure Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience.
• Manage sales promotions and train service staff in procedures.
• Organize Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas for optimal service.
• Ensure the restaurant delivers high-quality food and controls food costs.
• Train kitchen staff in production procedures, including new menu items.
• Hire, train, and schedule crew members to meet sales and profit goals.
• Support new employees and motivate them throughout their tenure.

Requirements

• Previous McDonald's managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive team player with flexible schedules and a passion for the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to qualify as a manager in corporate-owned restaurants.
