Department Manager

About the role

The role involves leading shifts and departments in a McDonald's restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. As a manager, you will ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience, manage staff, and adhere to departmental goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts to ensure a fast, accurate, and friendly customer experience.
• Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to your team and other managers.
• Ensure the Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas are organized for the best service.
• Make sure the restaurant delivers great quality food to customers, maintains food safety, controls food costs, and trains kitchen staff in production procedures.
• Hire, train, and schedule staff to meet restaurant sales and profit goals.
• Support new employees and motivate them throughout their time at the restaurant.

Requirements

• Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• A positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility with work schedules.
• Age 18 or older to be eligible to work as a manager in a corporate-owned McDonald's restaurant.
