About the role
The job is for a Department Manager at a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is a separate company and employer.
Responsibilities
- Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
- Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
- Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to teams and other managers.
- Ensure the Guest Service Department delivers a great customer experience.
- Oversee sales promotions and ensure service staff are trained in procedures.
- Organize Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas for optimal service.
- Manage Kitchen Department to ensure high-quality food delivery, food safety, and cost control.
- Train and schedule kitchen staff to meet sales and profit goals.
- Support Crew and Managers in getting off to a good start and recognizing their efforts.
Requirements
- Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
- Positive team player with flexible schedules and a passion for the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
- Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurants.
