Department Manager

About the role

This job posting is for a Department Manager position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is a separate company and employer, responsible for all employment matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts to ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
• Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to your team and other managers.
• Ensure the Guest Service Department delivers a great customer experience.
• Ensure the Kitchen Department delivers great quality food and controls food costs.
• Ensure the People Department hires, trains, and schedules staff effectively.

Requirements

• Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive team player with flexible schedules.
• Open availability and flexibility to work weekdays, nights, and weekends.
• Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess POS and Microsoft Office computer skills, including Word and Excel.
• Strong people skills, able to communicate professionally and inspire a diverse team.
• High standards and a commitment to improving consistently.
