About the role
This job posting is for a Department Manager position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is a separate company and employer, responsible for all employment matters.
Responsibilities
- Lead shifts to ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
- Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
- Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to your team and other managers.
- Ensure the Guest Service Department delivers a great customer experience.
- Ensure the Kitchen Department delivers great quality food and controls food costs.
- Ensure the People Department hires, trains, and schedules staff effectively.
Requirements
- Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
- Positive team player with flexible schedules.
- Open availability and flexibility to work weekdays, nights, and weekends.
- Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess POS and Microsoft Office computer skills, including Word and Excel.
- Strong people skills, able to communicate professionally and inspire a diverse team.
- High standards and a commitment to improving consistently.

- Ability to teach and train staff effectively, demonstrating leadership and example.

- Able to communicate with both guests and employees in a professional and friendly manner.
