About the role
The job is for a Department Manager at a McDonald's restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. This franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is responsible for employment matters such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Lead shifts to ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
- Manage assigned Systems like Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
- Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to your team and other managers.
- Ensure Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience.
- Make sure sales promotions are done well.
- Train service staff in service procedures.
- Organize the Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas for the best service.
- Ensure the restaurant delivers great quality food to customers, and fast.
- Control food costs and train kitchen staff in production procedures.
- Hire qualified crew, train them well, and schedule them to meet restaurant sales and profit goals.
- Support Crew getting off to a good start and recognizing and motivating them throughout their time working there.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.

Skills
Leadership, communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills are essential.
