About the role
The job involves leading shifts and managing departments in a McDonald's restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee is a separate entity from McDonald’s USA, and the franchisee is solely responsible for employment matters.
Responsibilities
- Ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience.
- Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
- Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to teams and other managers.
- Lead the Guest Service Department to ensure great customer experiences, sales promotions, and service staff training.
- Oversee the Kitchen Department to ensure high-quality food delivery, food safety, and cost control.
- Manage the People Department to hire, train, and schedule staff to meet sales and profit goals.
- Support new employees and motivate them throughout their tenure.
Requirements
- Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
- Positive team player with flexible schedules and a passion for the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
- Must be 18 years or older to apply.
Pay and Benefits
The starting wage for a Department Manager at a Carnagio Enterprises owned McDonald's restaurant is $18 per hour, with a maximum of $27 per hour upon completion of all certifications. Benefits include:
