Department Manager

About the role

The role involves leading shifts and managing departments in a McDonald’s restaurant. This includes ensuring a fast, accurate, and friendly customer experience, managing food safety and inventory, training staff, and hiring and scheduling employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts to ensure a fast, accurate, and friendly customer experience.
• Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to teams and other managers.
• Ensure the Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas are organized for the best service.
• Make sure the restaurant delivers great quality food to customers, and fast, while controlling food costs.
• Train kitchen staff in production procedures, including new menu items.
• Hire, train, and schedule employees to meet sales and profit goals.
• Support new employees and motivate them throughout their time working at the restaurant.

Requirements

• Previous McDonald’s managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• A positive attitude and a passion for working in the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to apply for this position.
