About the Role
This job posting is for a management position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. If hired, the franchisee will be your employer.
Responsibilities
- Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
- Some managers also lead Departments, which may include:
- Training: Setting goals, delegating tasks, and reporting results.
- Food Safety: Managing systems and ensuring food is safe.
- Inventor Management: Managing inventory and controlling costs.
- The Guest Service Department Manager ensures:
- Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience.
- Sales promotions are done well.
- All service staff are trained in service procedures.
- The Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas are organized for the best service.
- The Kitchen Department Manager ensures:
- The restaurant delivers great quality food and fast service.
- Food is always safe.
- Food cost is controlled.
- All kitchen staff are trained in production procedures, including new items on the menu.
- The People Department Manager ensures:
- The restaurant hires qualified crew and trains them well.
- Schedules staff to meet restaurant sales and profit goals.
- Hires and trains new employees.
- Makes sure Crew get off to a good start and are recognized and motivated.
Requirements
- Previous managerial experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
- You must be 18 years or older to be a manager in our corporate owned and operated restaurants.
- We're looking for positive team players with flexible schedules who like to have fun, with the passion to work the famously fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
