About the Role

This job posting is for a management position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. This franchisee owns a license to use McDonald’s logos and food products, but is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is responsible for employment matters, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
  • Some managers lead Departments, such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management, setting goals, delegating tasks, and reporting results.
  • The Guest Service Department Manager ensures Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience, manage sales promotions, train service staff, and organize the Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas for optimal service.
  • The Kitchen Department Manager ensures the restaurant delivers high-quality food, maintains fast service, controls food costs, and trains kitchen staff in production procedures.
  • The People Department Manager ensures the restaurant hires qualified staff, trains them well, and schedules them to meet sales and profit goals, and supports their development and motivation.

Requirements

  • Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
  • Positive team player with flexible schedules and a passion for the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
  • Must be 18 years or older to work as a manager in corporate-owned and operated restaurants.
