About the role
This job posting is for a Certified Department Swing Manager position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee owns a license to use McDonald’s logos and food products, but is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is responsible for employment matters, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervising, staffing, and scheduling employees.
Responsibilities
- Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
- Manage assigned Systems, such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
- Set goals, delegate tasks to teams, follow up, and report results.
- Ensure Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience.
- Pursue sales promotions effectively.
- Train service staff in service procedures.
- Organize Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas for optimal service.
- Ensure the restaurant delivers high-quality food to customers, maintains food safety, controls food costs, and trains kitchen staff in production procedures.
- Hire, train, and schedule qualified crew members to meet sales and profit goals.
- Support Crew members in getting off to a good start and recognizing and motivating them throughout their time working.
Requirements
- Previous managerial experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
- Positive team player with flexible schedules and a passion for working in the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
- Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurants.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a valid driver’s license.
