Department Manager
About the role
The job involves leading shifts and departments in a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. This franchisee is a separate company and employer.
Responsibilities
- Ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience every visit.
- Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
- Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to teams and other managers.
- Lead the Guest Service Department to ensure great customer experiences, sales promotions, and service staff training.
- Lead the Kitchen Department to ensure high-quality food delivery, food safety, food cost control, and staff training.
- Lead the People Department to hire, train, and schedule staff to meet sales and profit goals, and support their development.
Requirements
- Previous McDonald's managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
- A positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work flexible hours.
- Must be 18 years or older to apply for management positions.
