Department Manager
Requirements
Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience each visit. Some managers also lead Departments, which may include managing assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management, setting goals, delegating tasks to their teams, following up, and reporting results.
Responsibilities
Guest Service Department Manager:
- Ensure Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience.
- Manage sales promotions effectively.
- Train service staff in service procedures.
- Organize Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas for optimal service.
Kitchen Department Manager:
- Ensure the restaurant delivers high-quality food and service.
- Maintain food safety standards.
- Control food costs.
- Train kitchen staff in production procedures, including new menu items.
People Department Manager:
- Hire and train qualified crew members.
- Schedule staff to meet restaurant sales and profit goals.
- Support Crew in getting off to a good start and recognizing their efforts.
Qualifications
Previous managerial experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
Positive team player with flexible schedules and a passion for the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
Must be 18 years or older to manage in corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurants.
