Department Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management systems
• Set goals and delegate tasks to their teams
• Follow up and report results
• Ensure the restaurant delivers high quality food to customers quickly
• Ensure food is always safe
• Control food costs
• Train kitchen staff in production procedures, including new menu items
• Hire qualified crew members
• Train crew members well
• Schedule crew members to meet restaurant sales and profit goals
• Engage employees through motivation and recognition
• Ensure Crew and Managers deliver a memorable customer experience
• Ensure sales promotions are done well
• Train service staff in service procedures
• Organize the Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas for the best service

Qualifications

Experience in managing a team, strong leadership skills, and a passion for hospitality are essential. A background in food service management, human resources, or a related field is preferred.

Skills

Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement are required.
