Department Manager

About the role

The role involves leading shifts and departments in a McDonald’s restaurant operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. As a Department Manager, responsibilities include ensuring high-quality customer service, managing inventory, training staff, and meeting sales and profit goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts to ensure fast, accurate, and friendly service every visit.
• Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to teams and other managers.
• Ensure the Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas are organized for optimal service.
• Make sure the restaurant delivers great quality food and fast service.
• Ensure food safety and control food costs.
• Train kitchen staff in production procedures, including new menu items.
• Hire, train, and schedule staff to meet restaurant sales and profit goals.
• Support new employees and motivate them throughout their time at the restaurant.

Requirements

• Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive team player with flexible schedules and a passion for working in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to be considered for management positions.
