Department Manager
About the role
The role involves leading shifts and departments in a McDonald's restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. As a manager, you will ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience, manage staff, and adhere to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead shifts to ensure a fast, accurate, and friendly customer experience.
- Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
- Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to your team and other managers.
- Ensure the Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas are organized for the best service.
- Make sure the restaurant delivers great quality food and fast service.
- Control food costs and ensure all kitchen staff are trained in production procedures.
- Hire, train, and schedule staff to meet restaurant sales and profit goals.
- Support new employees and motivate them throughout their time working at the restaurant.
Requirements
- Previous managerial experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
- Positive team player with flexible schedules and a passion for working in the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
- Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in our corporate owned stores.
