Department Manager
Requirements
Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers have a fast, accurate, and friendly experience on every visit. Some managers also lead Departments. These managers' responsibilities may include managing assigned Systems, such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management; setting goals; delegating tasks to their teams; following up; and reporting results to their teams and other managers.
Responsibilities
Guest Service Department Manager:
- Ensure Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience.
- Execute sales promotions effectively.
- Train service staff in service procedures.
- Organize Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas for optimal service.
Kitchen Department Manager:
- Ensure the restaurant delivers quick, high-quality food to customers.
- Ensure food is always safe.
- Control food costs.
- Train kitchen staff in production procedures, including new items added to the menu.
People Department Manager:
- Hire qualified Crew and train them effectively.
- Schedule Crew to meet restaurant sales and profit goals.
- Ensure Crew gets off to a good start at the restaurant and is recognized and motivated throughout their time working there.
Qualifications
Previous managerial experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment. We're looking for positive team players with flexible schedules who like to have fun and the passion to work in the famously fast-paced McDonald's environment. You must be 18 years or older to be a manager in our franchise-owned and operated restaurants.
Skills
Strong leadership skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are required.
