About the role

The job is for a Department Manager at a McDonald's Corporate owned store. This position is for an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
• Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set goals, delegate tasks to teams, follow up, and report results.
• Ensure Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience.
• Pursue sales promotions well.
• Train service staff in service procedures.
• Organize Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas for the best service.
• Make sure the restaurant delivers great quality food to customers, and fast.
• Ensure food is always safe and food cost is controlled.
• Train kitchen staff in production procedures, including new items on the menu.
• Hire qualified crew, train them well, and schedule them to meet restaurant sales and profit goals.
• Ensure Crew get off to a good start and are recognized and motivated throughout their time working there.

Requirements

• Previous managerial experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive team player with flexible schedules and a passion for working in the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in our corporate owned stores.
