About the role
The job is for a Department Manager position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. This franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from McDonald’s USA. If hired, the franchisee will be the employer.
Responsibilities
- Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
- Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
- Set goals, delegate tasks to teams, follow up, and report results.
- Ensure Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience.
- Manage sales promotions and train service staff in procedures.
- Organize Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas for optimal service.
- Ensure the restaurant delivers high-quality food and fast service.
- Control food costs and train kitchen staff in production procedures.
- Hire, train, and schedule crew to meet sales and profit goals.
- Support Crew in getting off to a good start and recognizing and motivating them.
Requirements
- Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
- Positive team player with flexible schedules and a passion for the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
- Must be 18 years or older to manage in corporate-owned and operated restaurants.
