Position Summary
Responsible for the efficient operation, organization, and oversite of the team; executing the production plan to maximize throughput.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of employees ensuring efficient and effective operations of the Hard Anodize Chemical Process.
- Organize assigned area to ensure ready access to and knowledge of all orders currently in process on a daily work basis.
- Effectively communicates with Management and Customer Service regarding work that is in the area and upcoming work for processing.
- Works closely with the Production Managers to determine daily, weekly, and monthly work schedules.
- Monitor and report employee attendance, addressing any issues promptly.
- Assist in verifying hours for payroll purposes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist in development and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Maintains the inventory levels and supplies, communicating back to purchasing if/as required.
- Maintains and monitors appropriate documentation on all orders.
- Organizes work to be done and assigns accordingly, follows dashboard requirements to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Trains employees and monitors their performance.
- Resolves technical problems and challenges by communicating to keep production moving, to meet/exceed customer expectations.
- Lead by example setting the standard employees in attendance, production, quality and safety.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior anodizing experience and technical knowledge of surface area calculations, volts, amps, bus bars, and anode/cathode functions.
- 5 years previous experience in a manufacturing environment required, previous lead experience a plus.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in manufacturing software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
