Department Coordinator
Job Description
This role provides administrative and office support for a department, including scheduling, coordination, reporting, document management, and confidential project support while using Microsoft Office tools and Epic.
Responsibilities
- Coordination and scheduling
- Department faxing and scanning
- Preparation of routine and non-routine reports and special assignments/projects
- Support to staff within the department as required
Qualifications
- 1 year office experience
- Proficient and comprehensive skills in personal computer software systems and applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and databases (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of office or administrative support experience, ideally in a healthcare or clinical setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfortable interacting with team members, leaders, and other departments
- Experience with scheduling, calendar management, coordination, and keeping department workflows running smoothly
- Highly organized, able to multitask, and able to manage confidential information, reports, projects, scanning/faxing, and day-to-day office duties with accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access, and experience using Epic or a similar electronic medical record system
