About the role

The rapidly growing Denver office of Fisher Phillips seeks to hire an associate or of counsel to join our Wage and Hour Litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 4 or more years of experience to take on important client-facing work right away. We are willing to consider non-partner track candidates for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Extensive experience litigating wage and hour class and/or collective action claims under the Colorado Wage Act and Fair Labor Standards Act
  • Experience interpreting Colorado Department of Labor and Employment and U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division regulations, rules and interpretative guidance materials
  • Experience drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discovery
  • Experience drafting and arguing motions, including motions to decertify a conditional class
  • Experience taking and defending depositions

  • Qualified candidates need to demonstrate experience and proficiency drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discovery, drafting and arguing motions, including motions to decertify a conditional class, and experience taking and defending depositions

Qualifications

  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Strong writing and analytical skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Skills

  • Admission to the Colorado Bar
  • A JD from an ABA accredited law school

Benefits

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act the salary range for this position will be: $175,000 - $230,000. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
