About the Role
The Dental Technician brings dental lab–level finishing expertise into a high-precision manufacturing environment. As a member of the production CNC milling organization, this position is responsible for the post-milling finishing stage, using hand finishing, blending, contouring, and surface refinement techniques—not CNC machining—to ensure each component reaches its final specification. This role applies the craftsmanship of a dental technician within a structured production workflow, serving as the critical bridge between machined parts and final product quality.
This position is part-time, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Perform precision finishing, blending, and surface refinement on small, high-tolerance components.
- Frequently handle and manipulate small components using a pinch or squeeze grip with the non-dominant hand across multiple production tasks.
- Operate small handheld power, impact, and vibratory tools with the dominant hand for brief durations, intermittently throughout the shift, to support product finishing and detailing.
- Perform technical tasks using foot pedal-operated handheld tools, assisting with material preparation and processing.
- Perform maintenance activities for equipment according to procedures.
- Operate all secondary equipment as required (Furnace, Ultrasonic Cleaner, Sandblaster, etc.).
- Work as part of a team to improve manufacturing processes through Kaizen.
- Perform in-process inspection before hand-off to QC; may perform final QC as required.
- Identify and escalate issues such as quality concerns to direct manager and/or correct function.
- Maintain safety policies and procedures, including 5S initiatives and housekeeping.
- Attend and participate in Safety Committees/Training as required.
- Other finishing or finalizing duties as assigned by supervisor.
