About the role

The role involves a variety of tasks including installing and repairing equipment, performing machinery overhauls, planning equipment moves and layout, and making design improvements to prevent future issues. The position also includes the primary responsibility of forklift and Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT)/Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV) maintenance. The successful candidate will maintain the facilities parts inventory in line with our business operating system. Work is on-site (5 days).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct major electrical, mechanical, and construction repairs and installations, interpreting schematics and blueprints as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot issues to component level for Fanuc, Siemens, Allen Bradley, and other controller brands.
  • Determine the root cause of failures and recommend preventative actions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Utilize the computer maintenance management system to maintain equipment records, work order history, and parts inventory.
  • Communicate consistently with internal customers regarding the status of equipment in the shop.
  • Use various material handling equipment such as hoists, carts, lifts, and fork trucks.
  • Maintain a clean work area and ensure all tools are in good working order.
  • Follow all safety protocols while performing facilities duties.
  • Drive the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) within the business operating systems.
  • Perform regular maintenance and repairs on forklifts and PIT/PIV.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; College or Technical school preferred.
  • 3 years mechanical experience; 3-6 years electrical/electronic/mechanical/controls experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years manufacturing experience and Forklift/PIT maintenance.
  • Experience with electrical, welding, fabricating, mechanical, hydrologic repairs, etc.
  • Proficiency in using a PC to drive consistency and effectiveness of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of electrical safety, electrical print reading, and standard control circuits (pushbutton, relays, etc.).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while handling multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate self-directed work skills.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of PLCs, servo controls, relay logic is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Trane Technologies operating system.

Pay

Hourly base pay range: $27.07 - $31.63. The actual compensation will depend on factors such as seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation. For Colorado residents, the base pay range is $27.39 - $38.48.
