Dental Team Manager
Scope of Responsibilities
- Schedule and manage the day-to-day visit logistics of the Dental Teams
- Reports to the Director of Operations and forms a partnership with the School Relationship Manager (SRM)
- Establishes joint accountability for state performance
- Works as a team with School Relationship Managers
- Serves as the key liaison between the field staff, operations, and practice owners
- Dental team management responsibilities include:
- Facilitation of field team schedules
- Managing dental team issues (equipment, staffing, travel, personnel issues, etc.)
- Ensuring field teams have appropriate information on visit dates
- Managing and tracking dental team performance and compliance issues
- Familiarity of state rules and regulations regarding team certification and composition
- Receiving daily updates from dental teams in the field
- Approving payroll
- Maintains short-term dental team capacity by reviewing upcoming dates with excess capacity and working with SRM to pull visits forward as appropriate
- Communicates daily with the Team Leaders and dentists to support service delivery, problem solving, conflict resolution, and team building
- Reviews feedback from clinical teams and elevates as appropriate

About the Role
The nation's largest in-school dental program is seeking a Dental Team Manager to facilitate in providing dental services to children who may not otherwise receive dental care. Smile America Partners has been changing lives since 1999, offering preventive and restorative care to approximately 500,000 children annually. Our team works closely with school relationship managers to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain high standards of care.
Qualifications
- Experience in dental team management
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of state rules and regulations regarding team certification and composition
- Basic computer skills
