Dental Lab Technician I

Location: Vancouver, Washington | Full-time position

About the role

The Lab Tech maintains and improves patients' oral health by fabricating fixed and removable prostheses according to dentist prescriptions.

Responsibilities

• Interpret lab prescriptions, manage supply inventory, and maintain and operate equipment.
• Produce and articulate models, follow infection control procedures, finish and polish appliances, and handle shipping and receiving.
• Perform duties within the company’s infection control protocol.
• Spend approximately 60% of time on tasks in the following categories:
  • Crown & Bridge: General duties, production of crown and bridge models, maintaining log books for cases, waxing, casting and finishing gold crowns, using lab scanners and design software for single-unit anterior and posterior crowns, soldering, and simple repairs.
  • Dentures & Partials: General duties, custom trays, bite rims, flasking and processing, simple setups and repairs, relines, vacuum-formed splints, night guards, and bleaching trays.
  • Ortho: General duties, model work, processing and finishing, simple repairs and setups, custom trays, vacuum-formed splints, night guards, and bleaching trays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; dental tech trade preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the ability to perform the essential functions of the position.

Pay

Expected hiring range: $21 – $24 per hour. The actual base pay offered will be based on factors including education, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. This position is also eligible for incentive pay in accordance with the company’s plan.

Schedule

5 days per week, 8-hour days or 4 days per week, 10-hour days.

Physical Requirements

The work is primarily performed while sitting and/or standing but requires occasional walking, bending, stooping, and carrying light items such as papers, books, or supplies. The incumbent uses a computer and other standard office equipment to complete tasks.
