Dental Hygienist. UP TO 65 AN HOUR!

About the role

We are looking for a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our family at Dental Associates of CT, an office within Dental Associates of Connecticut. Our mission is to provide quality dental and personal care to all our patients in a relaxed and comfortable environment. We employ dentists in various specialties, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, oral surgery, and prosthodontics, delivering exceptional care throughout Connecticut.

The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, be a team player, and possess a professional and positive attitude. Recent graduates are welcome!

Responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, application of fluoride, and sealants
• Detect disease by completing oral cancer screenings; feeling and visually examining gums; using probes to locate periodontal disease and assess levels of recession
• Select materials and equipment for dental hygiene visits by evaluating patient’s oral health
• Educate patients by providing oral hygiene, plaque control instructions, and postoperative instructions
• Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient records
• Sterilize equipment
• Take x-rays as necessary and as recommended by the ADA

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to follow outlined policies and guidelines
• Associate’s degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Valid Connecticut license to practice (Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH)
• Available to work within current office hours (specific shifts to be determined):

Dental Associates of CT Location Hours:
Tuesday - 10AM-7PM
Wednesday - 8AM-5PM
Thursday - 9AM-6PM (alternating Saturdays)
Friday - 8AM-5PM
Saturday - 8AM-2PM (alternating Thursdays)
