Dental Hygienist- UP TO 65 AN HOUR!

About the role

We are looking for a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our family at Dental Associates of Connecticut (New Milford). The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, is a team player, and is passionate about providing quality dental and personal care in a relaxed, comfortable environment. Recent graduates are welcome!

Responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, application of fluoride and sealants
• Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums; using probes to locate periodontal disease and assess levels of recession
• Select materials and equipment for dental hygiene visits by evaluating patient’s oral health
• Educate patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions
• Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient records
• Sterilize equipment and take x-rays as necessary and as recommended by the ADA

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to follow outlined policies and guidelines
• Professional and positive attitude
• Associate’s degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Valid Connecticut license to practice (Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH)

Preferred Qualities

• Dental office experience
• Experience with Dentrix Ascend software

Schedule

Available to work within current office hours (specific shifts to be determined):

• Monday: 8AM–5PM (alternates with Saturday every other week)
• Tuesday: OFF
• Wednesday: 9AM–6PM
• Thursday: 10AM–7PM
• Friday: 7:30AM–5PM
• Saturday: 8AM–2PM (once per month)

Current schedule is off Mondays, but we can accommodate a Monday–Thursday workweek with one Saturday per month.
