Dental Hygienist- UP TO 65 AN HOUR!

About the role

Dental Associates of Connecticut (New Milford) is seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and be a team player. Recent graduates are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, application of fluoride and sealants
• Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession
• Select appropriate materials and equipment for dental hygiene visits by evaluating patient's oral health
• Provide education to patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions
• Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient charts
• Take x-rays as necessary and as recommended by the ADA

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Prioritization of tasks and ability to follow outlined policies and guidelines
• A professional and positive attitude
• Ace in an Associate’s degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Valid license to practice in Connecticut (Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH)
• Availability to work within current office hours, specific shifts to be determined: Monday 8AM-5PM (alt w. Saturday EOW), Tuesday - OFF, Wednesday - 9AM-6PM, Thursday - 10AM-7PM, Friday - 7:30AM-5PM, Saturday - 8AM-2PM (1x/Month)

• Preferred: Dentrix Ascend software experience

Schedule

Current schedule is off Mondays. However, we can accommodate a work week of Monday-Thursday with the 1/Saturday a month.
