About the role

Dental Associates of CT, an office within Dental Associates of Connecticut, aims to provide quality dental and personal care in a welcoming environment. The office employs specialists in various dental fields and seeks to meet all patients' needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, fluoride application, and sealant application.
• Screen for oral cancer, examine gums, and assess periodontal disease levels.
• Select appropriate materials and equipment based on the patient's oral health needs.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative care.
• Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient records.
• Ensure proper sterilization of equipment.
• Take x-rays as needed and recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA).

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to follow outlined policies and guidelines.
• A professional and positive attitude.
• A minimum of an Associate’s degree from an accredited dental hygiene program.
• A valid license to practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in Connecticut.
• Availability to work within current office hours, specific shifts to be determined.
