Dental Assistant - Leap Kids Dental

About the role

We're looking for a motivated, friendly Dental Assistant to join our team at Leap Kids Dental. You'll assist the dentist with patient care, perform clinical and technical procedures under supervision, prepare treatment areas, and document procedures using both electronic and paper records.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procedures and exams, supporting dentists in delivering high-quality care.
• Prepare treatment areas, manage instruments, and document procedures accurately.
• Communicate treatment needs clearly to patients and parents, helping everyone feel comfortable and confident.
• Work with children, creating a fun, friendly, and reassuring environment for young patients.
• Build trusting, positive relationships with patients and families, making each visit a pleasant experience.
• Avoid provider and team needs, while maintaining a respectful and kind demeanor.
• Support daily office workflow, scheduling, and maintaining organized records.
• Be proficient in computers and electronic documentation, learning new systems quickly.
• Show detail-oriented and dependable behavior, helping the clinic run smoothly every day.

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant licenses or certificate, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• CPR certification.
• Expanded function permit preferred.
• 1+ years of Dental Assisting preferred.

Benefits

This role supports the Kansas City location 1 day a week and the Raymore location 4 days a week.
