Childcare Assistant

About the role

The Childcare Assistant will work on a part-time, as needed basis as determined by parents/members who register for childcare while using the Community Recreation Facility.

Responsibilities

• Sit or stand for up to 3 hours at a time and move quickly if necessary.
• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Occasionally assist children in bathroom area or cleaning up and changing clothes.
• Keep a clean work area.

Requirements

• First Aid/CPR certification within 60 days of employment.
• Pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Patient and attentive to the needs of children in their care.
• Understanding of the stages of childhood development.

Skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR.
• Attention to detail and safety awareness.

Beginning Salary: $14 per hour
