Demand Writer (Personal Injury)

About the role

Based in Los Angeles, BD&J is California’s leading personal injury law firm, with over $3 billion recovered for our clients. We are seeking a skilled and articulate Demand Writer to craft persuasive and well-supported demand letters for personal injury cases. This is a full-time, onsite position in our West Los Angeles office.

Responsibilities

• Calculate the total damage sustained by the client in medical expenses, property damage, lost wages, and more.
• Draft compelling letters that outline case facts, liability, injuries, treatment, and damages to obtain maximum settlement amounts from insurance companies.
• Analyze medical records and bills to accurately summarize treatment and calculate damages.
• Edit and revise drafts based on feedback from attorneys or supervisors.

Requirements

• 2+ years of related experience in a Personal Injury law firm.
• Familiarity with reading medical reports and medical bills.
• Strong organizational skills, efficiency, and high attention to detail.
• Excellent math and writing skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
