Demand Planner
Opportunity
The Demand Planner is the linking pin between Sales of the Industry and order execution within Order Engineering, Supply Chain and Installation. The Demand Planner will take an active part in implementing a common Operations Planning and Control Framework for JBT Marel, based on best practices. The Demand Planner is positioned within the sales function of the industry and will report to the Manager Demand Planning (if applicable). The Demand Planner will work closely with the sales engineers, layout design, Techcenter, manufacturing colleagues and project managers.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, provide and plan targeted delivery dates / periods
- Play an active day-to-day role in the Master Scheduling process to ensure smooth order execution
- Maintain a total overview of the open orders within the industry and what phase they are in, mix demand input into the Master Schedule
- Take key decisions such as in which manufacturing location to produce equipment based on guidelines provided by the supply chain
- Resolve issues that come up within the order execution process, reschedule orders as needed
- Generate input into the monthly sales, operations & resources planning process to plan for upcoming changes in the business which includes activities like:
- Translate the sales forecast in EUR's into a demand in hours building up the demand pipeline
- Organize the resource planning capacity within sales of the industry
- Participate in drafting demand-capacity scenarios for Sales (lead times, revenues and resources)
- Execute sales, operations & resources planning actions in industry
- Keep all relevant stakeholders informed regularly
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Process oriented
- Knowledge of ERP, OP&C, Master Production Scheduling, Demand management and Forecasting
- Knowledge of order to cash processes
- Open to share knowledge and adopt best practices with colleagues across JBT Marel
- Self-starting and operate in a planned/structured way and active in setting and achieving goals
- Able to build bridges and connections with other departments
- Continuous improvement mindset, able to think outside the box
- Eagerness to understand the end products and services of the Industry

Education, Knowledge, And Experience
- Bachelors or masters degree in business or Science or equivalent relevant work experience
- Experience in production control, planning or project management is preferred
- Experience with ERP systems
- Excellent English skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with and comfort working in a multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times
