Delivery Truck Driver - CDL A

About the role

Ferguson, a Fortune 500 company with approximately 36,000 associates across 1,700 locations, is seeking a truck driver who can be home daily with no nights or weekends. The position supports warehouse operations and delivers materials to customers while providing a safe, customer‑focused experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to customers, using a pallet jack and two‑wheel dolly to load and unload, and ensure the delivery ticket is completed.
• Pick up customer returns and validate product matches for credit requests.
• Perform daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, refuel as needed, and report any problems to a supervisor.
• Follow and implement all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and a safety harness rated for up to 400 lb.
• Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment, as well as receiving, verifying, staging, and stocking incoming material.
• Work overtime as needed and adhere to all DOT standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL‑A license; must be at least 21 years old.
• Flatbed experience preferred.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred.
• Maintain qualifications for CDL requirements and a valid DOT medical card.
• Ability to lift items up to 50 lb.
• Background in warehouse operations and logistics (shipping, receiving, delivery) is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with a customer‑focused approach.
• Comfortable navigating basic technology, including iPads.

Pay

Hourly range: $18.30 – $29.22. This role is eligible for bonus or incentive plans. Starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with some overtime as needed.
