Delivery Truck Driver - CDL A

About the role

Ferguson is seeking a CDL‑A driver who can be home daily with no nights or weekends. The position involves delivering materials to customers, handling returns, and supporting warehouse operations while adhering to safety policies and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to customers, using a pallet jack and two‑wheel dolly to load and unload, and ensure delivery tickets are completed.
• Pick up customer returns and validate product matches for credit requests.
• Perform daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, refuel the truck as needed, and report any problems to a supervisor.
• Follow and implement all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and a safety harness rated for up to 400 lb.
• Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment, as well as receiving, verifying, staging, and stocking incoming material.
• Work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL‑A.
• At least 21 years of age.
• 1–3 years of commercial truck driving experience preferred.
• Current DOT medical card (or ability to obtain and maintain one).
• Ability to lift items weighing over 50 lb.
• Background in warehouse operations and logistics (shipping, receiving, delivery) is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with a customer‑focused approach.
• Ability to navigate and operate basic technology, including iPads.

Pay

Starting pay rate: $28–$32 per hour, depending on experience. This role is eligible for bonus or incentive plans.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with some overtime as needed.
