Delivery Technician
About the role
Scientific Games is the global leader in lottery games, sports betting, and technology, and the partner of choice for government lotteries. The Delivery Technician will transport and deliver lottery equipment to various site locations within the State of Ohio and complete service calls at lottery retail locations as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Delivery and installation of company equipment to customer sites.
- Lead a team on special projects/events.
- Support field technicians during and after equipment installation.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hardware, software, and systems failures.
- Perform general warehouse duties, including inventory, shipping, and forklift operation.
- Communicate orally and in writing with field-based technicians regarding diagnostics or repairs.
- Perform maintenance, testing, and calibration of repaired products, and track inventory.
- Assist in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
- Train new and existing team members.
- Create presentations/reports regarding bench and equipment activities, issues, and performance.
- Support high-profile issues.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Understanding of, and experience with, troubleshooting computer software and hardware technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proven self-starter with motivation and ability.
- Strong organization and time management skills enabling effective multitasking.
- Strong judgment and problem-solving skills to determine cost-effective repairs/resolutions.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
- Available to work overtime as needed.
- Able to travel overnight if needed.
- Ability to lift, install, and move large self-service equipment (regularly lift or move 35 pounds or more).
- Pass a background check, drug test, and maintain a clean driving record.
- Regular travel to customer locations for on-site work.
- Ability to drive a non-CDL delivery truck.
- Pass DOT certification and drug test.
