Responsibilities

• Operate all store equipment, including ovens, computers, and phones.
• Stock ingredients from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and walk-in coolers.
• Prepare pizza and other menu items.
• Receive and process telephone and in-person orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility daily.
• For delivery roles: Deliver pizzas and promotional materials (flyers, door hangers) to customers within a designated area.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record (for delivery roles).
• Access to an insured vehicle for deliveries.
• Navigational skills to read maps, locate addresses, and navigate multi-story buildings or adverse terrain.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide quickly and accurately (may use a calculator).
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Strong verbal, writing, and telephone skills for processing orders.
• Motor coordination for rapid and precise movements (e.g., entering orders on a computer or touch screen).

Skills

• Ability to work under stress and meet quality control standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, work alone or in a team, and make judgments and decisions.
• Far and night vision for safe driving (for delivery roles).
• Depth perception and ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.

Work Conditions

• Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions (e.g., when taking out trash or making deliveries).
• In-store temperatures range from 36°F in coolers to 90°F or higher in work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
• Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters (e.g., walk-in cooler).
• Hot surfaces and tools (ovens up to 500°F or higher).
• Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

Physical Requirements

• Standing: Most tasks are performed while standing on ceramic tile or linoleum floors. Work surfaces range from 36" to 48" in height.
• Walking: Short distances for short durations, including travel between the store, delivery vehicle, and customer locations.
• Sitting: Paperwork is completed at a desk or table.
• Lifting: Unload bulk deliveries (up to 50 lbs) using a hand truck, lift cases to shelves up to 72" high, and carry trays of pizza dough (12 lbs per tray).
• Carrying: Transport large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), and pizzas/beverages during deliveries.
• Pushing/Pulling: Move trays on dollies (requiring up to 7.5 lbs of force).
• Climbing: Navigate stairs or ladders for tasks like changing signs, washing walls, or making deliveries (up to 5+ flights of stairs).
• Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist (e.g., at pizza assembly stations or when stocking ingredients).
• Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally required for stocking shelves or cleaning low areas.
• Reaching: Continuous reaching (up, down, and forward) for tasks like turning on oven controls, scooping ingredients, or answering phones.

Tools and Equipment

• Pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment.
• Pizza cutter, pizza peel, and other kitchen tools.
