Responsibilities
General Job Duties for All Store Team Members
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Driving Specific Job Duties
- Deliver product by car and then to the door of the customer.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and private homes while carrying product.
Skills
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Verbal communication skills to process orders both over the phone and in person.
- Basic math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use a calculator).
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Far vision and night vision for driving.
- Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, and meet strict quality control standards.
Work Conditions
Environmental Exposure
- Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash, performing other outside tasks, or delivering product.
- In-store temperatures range from 36 degrees in the cooler to 90 degrees and above in some work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
- Exposure to fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters including the walk-in cooler.
- Hot surfaces/tools from the oven up to 500 degrees or higher.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Sensory Requirements
- Talking and hearing on the telephone.
- Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks.
- Depth perception and ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
- Far vision and night vision for driving.
Temperaments
- Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others.
- Work under stress and meet strict quality control standards.
- Deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments, and decisions.
Physical Requirements
- Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces. Work surfaces range from 36" to 48" in height.
- Walking: Short distances for short durations, including between the store and delivery vehicle and from the vehicle to the customer's location.
- Sitting: Paperwork is completed in an office at a desk or table.
- Lifting: Bulk product deliveries (up to 50 pounds) are unloaded using a hand truck. Cases are lifted from the floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72" high.
- Carrying:
- Large cans (3 pounds, 7 ounces) from workstation to storage shelves.
- Pizza sauce (30 pounds) from storage to the front of the store.
- Trays of pizza dough (12 pounds per tray, three at a time) over short distances.
- Pizzas and beverages during delivery.
- Pushing: Trays on dollies (24" - 30" stack, requiring up to 7.5 pounds of force). Trays may also be pulled.
- Climbing: Infrequent use of stairs or ladders for tasks like changing prices, washing walls, or performing maintenance. Delivery may require navigating five or more flights of stairs.
- Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist at the pizza assembly station (30 - 45 seconds at a time, repeated continuously). Bending also occurs at the front counter and when stocking ingredients.
- Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.
- Reaching: Continuously in all directions (up, down, forward) for tasks like turning oven controls, changing prices, lifting objects, scooping cornmeal, washing dishes, obtaining toppings, cleaning surfaces, or answering phones.
